Beleura, Hastings Clinic, Young/New-Graduate Physiotherapist Program
Beleura Health Solutions Hastings has an outstanding graduate program available for suitable applicants. We operate on the Mornington Peninsula in Victoria, and provide a range of services including:
- General physiotherapy
- Clinical Exercise classes including Pilates
- Remedial Massage therapies
- Exercise Physiology
- Psychology
- Occupational health and safety programs
Our clinic has a strong ethos of working as a team. In addition to the PD and support programs outlined here we maintain regular social catch-ups and events.
Working experience will be gained in a supportive environment encouraging personal and professional growth and development. Our program has a strong emphasis on mentoring, consolidation of skills, professional development and exposing our employees to best practice principles within private practice. The program is driven by on-site senior physiotherapists Lachlan Wakeling (APA Titled Pain and Musculoskeletal Physio) and Liana Cope (APA Titled Sports Physiotherapist).
The clinic hosts one-hour clinical tutorials/case-study workshops weekly. Additional one-to-one patient case reviews are rostered and undertaken with a senior clinician twice per week in the first three months and at least weekly thereafter (more are freely available as required). Physios find these reviews highly valuable and opt to continue with them well beyond their first year of practice.
We routinely provide second-opinion assessments with senior clinicians and strongly encourage younger physios to ‘sit in’ on these sessions. We then use these opportunities to develop our clinical reasoning skills and decision making.
After completion of the first year mentoring program the clinic provides ongoing PD support. We provide up to $1,000 per year for external courses and occasionally host in-house speakers or online course-work.
The successful applicant will need to display excellent personal presentation, fantastic communication skills and a willingness to learn and be part of a multi-disciplinary team.
